WHAT IS ROOTING?
         Rooting is a process allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android operating system to attain privileged control. Ypu can move apps to SD card. You can play games that require license by patching it and many more things.

 Rooting Information:

• In the process of custom recovery installation, the warranty will get void. To get back the warranty, you need to note down the current firmware you are on so that you can then install the same for regaining the lost warranty.
• To un root, you can apply with any of the stock firmwares. Once the device is un rooted, the warranty gets regained.

BEFORE ROOTING:

• Backup all the data present in the device as in the process of installing custom recovery image, there is a possibility that the data may get lost or corrupted. Only with the help of below mentioned tips you can backup all the data.

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore

• Charge left in the phone should be minimum of 60% so as to facilitate smoother installation process.
• Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”, tick the option.

PROCESS OF ROOTING:-
STEP 1:-
 Download this UPDATE.ZIP and place it in the root of your SD card.

STEP 2:-
Now go to recovery mode of your android i.e, by pressing home button and power button together.
In recovery mode touch does not work so use volume up and down keys and home button to navigate.

STEP 3:-
In recovery select UPDATE FROM SD CARD.
Then select UPDATE.ZIP

Wait for installation to finish and then select REBOOT SYSTEM NOW.

There will be a superuser app in app drawer that means your phone is rooted.

VOILA you have a rooted galaxy fit now.
